Default Need an answer asap please regarding stock mufflers !!

I have a 2000 Corvette and i dont like the exhaust that came with it, there is a guy thats selling stock 2002 axle back exhaust, do you think it would fit ? when i try to look up flowmasters and magnaflows it says 97-2004 but when i look at mid America website it shows that the 97-2000 different part number than 2001-2004 !!! i need to know asap please before i buy this 2002 exhaust (axle back ) .

Yes, a 2002 stock exhaust will fit on a 2000....I wouldn't pay more than $50 for one though, unless it was a Ti from a Z06.

Ok great, thank you for the quick response, i think they put a different part number because the 2001's and newer have the factory chrome oval tips as the older ones did not.

But what is it you don't like about the exhaust already on the car? There are a lot of aftermarket catbacks that sound great - certainly better than the stock exhaust.

The one that came with the car is very loud, not sure what brand it is but its too loud and i want something quiter, i was gonna go magnaflows but they are 1500 bucks and i dont wanna spend that much now but i will eventually buy magnaflows as i did have them on my 99 few years ago and was happy with the sound, very quite at idle but open up nicely once you step on it.

bolts right on. I think you'd like the stock Ti exhaust off the z06 more that the stock base mufflers in the long run.
