Put a CB radio in my 2002 coupe today. I connected the power wire to the CB radio to the hot wire at the connection to the driver's side power seat, as I have done in the past on another C5.
Somehow, I managed to make the power seat inoperative! There is still power to the hot wire I connected the radio to.
Also, the telescoping function for the steering column is now inoperative.
What the heck did I do? This really isn't rocket science.
Telescopic column is downstream of the seat controller so the fact that it's gone is related to getting the seat operative again. Start by double checking your splicing into the power seat wire.
There is power to both sides of the splice, so I'm thinking the splice is good.
