Really great idea but think it is way too expensive still.

Well we absolutely understand your point of view. It is not for everyone, nor do all people want the features it offers.

The product is not meant to compete with a Lead/Acid battery in pricing, it can't and its more expensive to manufacture Lithium Cells and have a technologically advanced Circuit Board and provide two Keyfobs with the battery. Costs of Tooling are higher.

The figure of 7 years lifespan is giving what we figure the minimum conservative life cycle would be with a potential of 2-4 more years than that. Other Lithium companies are claiming 10 years of LIfe, but we don't like to do over estimated advertising. We are conservative but then expect more...

As far as value, our Antigravity Battery is without doubt the best value in this type of product. Our nearest competitor, Braille Batteries, Volt Phreaks, Lithium Pros are about 40% MORE in cost. BUT the Braille Battery does not have ANY of the Safety protections we offer, nor do they have the BUILT-IN Wireless Jump Starting. So in our Market, with our Competitors, we are by leaps and bounds the best option. For example Braille's battery is about $1500 dollars compared to our $800 dollar price for a 40Ah model (our most expensive)... Yet we are light years ahead of them in technology, safety and pricing.

As far as overall Pricing... Batteries have a stigma attached to them that they should be CHEAP, Lead/Acid is a 100 year-old, very basic technology, and IS cheap. So when we come in to this Battery Market and introduce our product to those who are not familiar with Lithium Starter Batteries, then people sometimes will have sticker shock, and are sometimes even seemingly offended by the price. But if they check our competitors prices, and what they offer in an apples to apples comparison they see what we are doing is ground breaking in pricing and technology. We are in fact making Lithium more accessible than any other company.

Last in terms of Value... that is in the eyes of the Customer. We are aimed at the Performance Market because weight is the holy grail of performance. So saving 30lbs in a 15 minute swap is a massive value to the Performance crowd. Additionally people are paying hundreds of dollars for little pieces of Carbon Fiber, or other little lightweight parts, and these parts save maybe a Pound or a little more. So if you want to save a few pounds in Carbon Fiber then you're talking THOUSANDS of dollars. So with our Lithium Starter Battery the savings is roughly 30 lbs immediately! Add to that it has Built-In Jump Starting and the peace of mind knowing you won't be stranded and have to mess around with a Jump Starter or call AAA for a Jump Start and you're talking something unique. Then consider that you will get an average from 7- 10 years of life cycle and it all adds up to a very good value. So when a Performance Customer looks at that... then its an actual valuable product to them and definitely worth it.

Again, its not for everybody, it is more expensive on cost of entry, but people are so used to low-cost Lead/Acid Batteries that is seems like a crazy price in comparison, but the value is there for a lot of people. Last, we had variations of our Auto Batteries out for the last 3 years, and it keeps improving to the point of now having Built-In Jump Starting. So it not a new product in this market but now if offering something much more than Lead/Acid Batteries can... This is our first foray into the Vette Market, but you can find us on the RENNLIST forum for Porsches, and in the Porsche Market we are known much more and have great success. . So it not so new product, but we have just started marketing to not only the Racing crowd as the battery has developed.

Can you elaborate on "built-in jump start?" How does it work, under the hood?

I will assume you watched the video above... but after that I can provide these statements, and hopefully I am understanding your question.

1- As for how the battery works with the Car... that is all normal, just put it in and it works basically exactly the same as your standard battery.

2- As for the Built-In Jump Starting. That is a programmed set of instructions built into the Battery's onboard "Battery Management System" (BMS), which is a circuit board that controls the Lithium Battery pack inside. So how it basically works is the BMS intelligently monitors the batteries state of charge, and depending on the level of discharge, voltage and speed of discharge it make a determination to put the battery into a SLEEP MODE if the battery is getting over-discharged, yet save just enough reserve capacity to allow for about 5 Start attempts on a V8 sized Motor. So then to WAKE UP the Battery we provide two WIRELESS KEYFOBS that will turn the battery back ON, and then you can start the Car again and drive away. So you would not even have to open you Hood or Trunk to access the battery ever, the WIRELESS KEYFOB has a range of about 30ft. You can do it from inside your car if it was raining outside.

So think of it as an intelligent- battery, that won't allow itself to be over-discharged until dead. But if you do leave the lights on or Stereo on, or you store the car too long and the Battery goes into SLEEP MODE , you simply press the WIRELESS KEYFOB and it wakes the battery up and you can start your car and drive away... even up to 4 months after it went to SLEEP, because once asleep the Lithium Batteries don't continue to over-discharge like a Lead/Acid battery would do. If there is no draw on the Lithium it will self-discharge exceptionally slowly unlike Lead/Acid.

Did that answer your question?

Yep, absolutely. So it's basically what we already talked about above: just a way for the battery to monitor its own state of charge and cut off the car when it gets too low, until you turn it back on again. Super neat. Thanks.
