Default Ported and polished TB???

How much is this mod worth? Because for 125.00 Bucks it seems like a good idea regardless. Any one have one installed? Any driveability issues?

How much HP have you guys seen on a dyno with this mod.

Hers a pick of a ported and polished TB Does any one have a pic of a stock TB???

I've heard anywhere from 5-10rwhp depending on mods done to the car. I've got one coming on soon. :D

Speed Demon Motorsports ported throttle bodies are an excellent addition to your highly modified LS1 Engine providing more crisp throttle response and more power at higher RPM's! What we do is bore the throttle body orifice to a uniform size, allowing air to pass through unobstructed. We then polish the entire orifice to a high polish allowing air to more freely flow. The end result is a beautiful piece that can produce more power than a stock throttle body.

Just use a dremel and do it yourself, that's what I did :yesnod:

Use a dremel? Were you able to open up the factory diameter or did you simply smooth out all the casting rash? Any dyno #'s show a gain?

I love these "do-it-yourself" type tricks. Used to do them to my Mustang all the time. That car LOVED little mods.!!

Thx

Yes, you can open up the diameter of the TB, however DO NOT TOUCH anywhere where the TB blade closes. If you dremel that area then your idle will hang and your car will not run properly. Get some grinding stones and polishing pads to smooth out the lip in the TB before you get to the TB blade area and to open in up some. Then polish it up with the polishing pads ;). Works well. No dyno #'s, etc however it was a little peppier when I hit the gas. Unless you have cam and/or heads it wont really matter all that much whether your TB is ported or not.

Peppier is good! Heck, it's just a little something to tinker with on a weekend. Thanks for the tips.
