Re: Flameball shift **** on automatic..question (Buckmaster)
Really? I saw from the install diagram it could get a bit messy  Hows it look at nite and for that matter the daytime??? I would think it looks cool as hell :mad  ...what color do you have???
Re: Flameball shift **** on automatic..question (Buckmaster)
damn...I just went to the CAA site and they dont have the flameball anymore. Or Im just not seein it...I put it in the search but it says no matches???? what happened? They still have the adaptor and all but no flameballs :mad
Re: Flameball shift **** on automatic..question (primetime)
I've got the 3 color red and black flame ball and CAU adaptor, both purchased online from CAU. I have to differ with Buckmaster on this one. Having installed all of my bolt-on mods myself, this one was definitely the bytch of the bunch!!! Even more than installing cold air screens!
Trying to get the little bulb up into the flameball, while tightening it onto the adaptor was a real PITA!! Luckily, CAU has excellent customer service, I was able to get replacement bulbs and wires, because I broke a bunch of them, but it took me 2 weeks to finally get the thing right.
The Flameball shiftknob and the CAU A4 adaptor are both fine products but they have some compatability issues IMO. I love my flameball, but if I had to do it over...I wouldn't!!!
Re: Flameball shift **** on automatic..question (Drop_Top_Dave)
I will agree with Dave on this (we were just talking about my install just months ago). It was a real bitch. It can be done. I was forewarned by Dave and still decided to take it on and it was a PITA.
It does look cool and works OK. I don't think I would do it again or recommend anyone else do it unless you really want to dive into a challenge.
