Great. I just purchased one through this Ebay dealer about 3 weeks ago. I also just sent them an email asking directly if what they sold me is a copy.

The unit that you purchased has a Tilton cylinder with an adjustable
rod with helm joint on the end.

The Quick disconnect line looks fine along with the fitting going into the cylinder.
They advertise a life time warranty.

Have you installed it yet?

That blows man, I'm sure it will work for you though if they don't do anything about it.

If you read the bulletin, Tick I believe said that Hawks Third Gen is pushing the warranties on them, and said they will not acknowledge masters bought from Hawks, don't quote me though.

It does have a Tilton cylinder and I have not installed it yet. It looks good but I would like to know if what I bought is a copy or not. If it is just a matter of them sourcing the same parts as Tick to build a competitive product is one thing, selling it under the pretense that it is a Tick is something else.

Maybe I missed it in their add, but I didn't see the word Tick used anywhere.

I did noticed their Helm joint didn't have a grease zerk on it.

I went back and looked at my purchase record and when you scroll down in the listing that was up when I purchased they refer to the Tick unit as if this is what is for sale. I did receive an answer to my email question to them and here it is:

Dear alxltd,
For the past year we have been making our own adjustable master cylinders. The ONY reason we done this is Tick could not keep up with the supply and demand of there master cylinders. As far as the masters go they are the same product. The same Tilton master cylinder, same hydraulic line, same fittings, the only difference is we have a company that machines the billet aluminum blocks and we assemble them here.Hawks (we) will stand behind these 100% and warranty them for life! If you have any issues we will take care of it 100% and fix it for you. For the past year we have not had any master cylinders come back for warranty issues.Again it was never a thing where we are selling a junk product or inferior product, it is exactly the same as the Tick master, we just make the blocks with our machine shop and assemble them here.If you have any questions feel free to call or email myself or Bruce the owner 1-864-855-2694 or Bruce at Hawksthirdgenparts dot comThanks, Steven

So for now I will just see how it performs as they, Hawk, are saying they will warranty the piece.

This is direct from their ad:

HAWKS/Tilton Adjustable Clutch Master Cylinder Kit for 1997-2004 Corvette C5

THIS IS THE KIT YOU'VE HEARD THE RAVE REVIEWS ABOUT! Since their creation, the stock clutch hydraulic system has plagued C5 Corvettes. Shifting quickly at high RPM is extremely hard (in some cases even impossible), especially when using a beefy aftermarket clutch. Getting into first gear or reverse sitting still is sometimes a chore! The clutch pedal sticking to the floor is all too common, as well.

By combining our expertise with expert tuner and mechanical engineer Alvin Anderson (of PCMForLess) as well as employing a few concepts used by multiple NASCAR teams here in the Mooresville area, we developed an adjustable master cylinder kit that effectively and reliably solves all of the problems that have plagued these cars in the past.

Our Tick Performance Adjustable Master Cylinder Kit ships complete with everything needed to install, including: our custom Tilton Adjustable Master Cylinder, our Unrestricted and Heat-Wrapped Clutch Hydraulic Line (eliminating the need for the "drill mod"), all necessary hardware, self-stick template for drilling, and easy to understand instructions.

Our Adjustable Master Cylinder successfully flows more fluid than any other master cylinder available, makes clutch disengagement issues a thing of the past (with ANY clutch), uses a simple turnbuckle adjustment system and installs in 60-120 minutes. We also warranty these kits against failure for the entire time you own yours.

Rest assured that with our Adjustable Master Cylinder Kit installed, you'll have the quickest shifting, most reliable kit available under your left foot

So one could make a case for a somewhat deceptive ad.
