Default rear upper ball joint

I've ground through the top of the rear upper ball joint as I was trying to clearance for 16" wheels. Where do I find the rear upper ball joints? Are they the same as the front? I'm hoping I don't have to buy the whole spindle assembly. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Scott

No, you dont have to buy the whole spindle, but they do make spindles that are smaller so that you can run 15" and 16" wheels on the rear. Not sure where I saw them.

I had to grind mine down to fit my 16" CCW drag pack. Glad I didnt go that far!!!

Yes, I see that LG makes a spindle kit for 15" and 16" wheels but they're $1600 for the set. Where do I buy upper ball joints for the rear? Are they the same as the front uppers?

Thank you sir. So is the front upper ball joint the same item and part # as the rear upper? That appears to be the same one I see when I go to O'Reilly's site under the front upper.

that vendor's site indicates front and rear are the same

haven't had to do mine so I can't say from experience

try the parts lookup from forum vendor sites and see if it says the same PN for front and rear

The spindles are the same front and back. The right front passenger is the same as the rear driver's side. The front driver's side is the same as the rear passenger side.

So, I'd expect the ball joints to be the same.
