Where does this clip go?

I was taking apart the console in the middle all the way up to the dash and found this laying close to my shifter...anyone have any clue where this clip may go? I have looked around and cant figure it out...

btw...if anyone ever wonders...this goes on the small panel that houses the active handling button etc. I got to thinking about how mine rattled around...and sure enough it had fell off that panel

Agreed! I've had that console out 4 or 5 times and did not recognize that clip.....

there are 2 of these clips on the panel right in front of the middle console..if you ever take your active handling button part up....under neat there is one on each side.

I looked at the picture and figured it had to be for that snap in panel or it was a stray part, but you already got it figured out before I even opened your thread.
