Dynomax mufflers?
They came on the 1997 I just bought, anyone else use them, any power advantage over stock?

should gain a couple HP/TQ over stock C5 base mufflers. the base mufflers are not much of a performance design. That kit has the Ultra Flow mufflers which are a perferated core with a straight threw design, not chambered or baffled. not a bad muffler.

The ones you have a link to are probably a slight upgrade from stock in performance and look a lot better.
I was just given a pair of old Dynomax mufflers. They are older and look a lot worse than your link. They don't have mandrel bent pipes and they are not stainless. They are painted black but they do have stainless tips. I am planning on trying them, but mine might be worse than stock.
The old ones look pretty bad. The ones in referenced with your link look like most modern systems and probably good.

The link says material is ALUMINIZED..... not stainless. I wouldn't remove a stainless system and put on one that isn't. But to the OP, since your car came with them, just enjoy the sound for now.
