How to remove fuel door?

How to remove fuel door?

I just picked up an 02 Z06 and it has an aftermarket fuel door on it. It came with the stock door which I would like to put back on. I tried a search and didn't find what I was looking for. Anyone have a link on how to do this? Thanks!

Okay, I got the door on but it would not latch. The "plug" came loose. Does that just twist in somehow? I'm talking about the cable and the latch.

A nut holds it onto the filler collar.

The nut is still in place, but the plunger and cable came out. Did I break it? If so, can I just get a new cable?

Okay, got it back in and the door closes. It will not open with the button, but it will with the manual release? The button worked before I swapped out the door. Door is flush with the body when it's closed.

First things I'd check: 1) The fuse on this is easy to pop. I've done it myself. 2) Make sure the connector is securely plugged in on the actuator.

Thanks for the help Patches! After I started the car the door button works fine now. I had the same thing happen when I put front door speakers in my G8 GT. The door lock wouldn't work. Once I started the car and put it in gear the locks worked as they should. I don't know if that somehow resets the switch, but it works.
