Between the vortex rammer cold air system with the clear box or the RM racing twin flow air intake, which one is better ??? Thank you.

Vortex. The Twin Flow is considered about the worst of the aftermarket setups... the 2 tubes cause turbulance, thus offers about the same increase as a $50 K&N panel replacment filter. Vortex/Proflow are both good choices for the cheap Cold Air Intakes. Donaldson and K&N w/Z06 lid are the good choices for underhood setups. The Cold Air Intakes perform better on the street.

I really do not like at all how the RM Twinflow intakes have air entering into the MAF sensor in two different directions. This is not good at all because it causes turbulance in front of the MAF which causes the MAF to improperly meter the air entering the motor, which could actually cause power loss rather than gains. I would steer real clear of that air intake.

The Blackwing is the easiest to install and probably the highest flowing and best filtering filter on the market, but it is limited to power gains because all of the air it sucks in is from under the hood, and therefore very warm.

The Vortex Rammer sucks cold air from beneath the radiator shroud, which is what makes power. Theoretically for every 10 degrees lower intake air temperature, the car makes 1% more power. Again this is theory.

I currently run the Vortex Rammer on my car but am putting some thought into switching to the Vararam ( http://www.vararam.com ) very shortly. I have seen some results I have been very impressed with, and I like the technology that has been developed into this intake system. However, I don't think the Vararam's power advantage over other intakes will shine on the dyno because it requires moving air to do what it is built to do.

We are a dealer of and stock all of the intake systems I just mentioned, so drop me an email if you have any questions.
