Default Spline Lug Nut Trouble

Greetings all I've got a little bit of a problem I am hoping somebody can help me with. I picked up a 99' coupe a couple of months ago that has C6 wheels and spline lug nuts. The other weekend I had a blowout on one of my wheels and I need to get the wheel off but I do not have the right key/tool to remove it. I've tried using a Dorman and McGrad tool (M12X1.5) but neither of those were large enough.

If anybody has any ideas or recognize the type of lugs please let me know, thanks.

I know the ones I have got at discount tire are gorilla. They worked on my car and my buddies car so seems to be universal. Got a pic of the lug nuts? Worse case you can tap on a impact socket and back them off, pain but it will work in a pinch. Don't tap too hard or the nut will get stuck in the socket. Then you can try and match it up at your local tire shop

Sorry I thought the picture was posted you can see the lugs here:

I don't think they are Gorilla, I've looked through their catalog and it doesn't resemble any of there's. McGard seemed to be the closet match but that didn't work. At this point I may just pop these off using impact wrench.

I have done some work on imports and those look like the ones I have seen on them. I will ask my bid for a brand name and let you know. I also advise looking through the whole car to see if you can find the socket that fits these.

My buddy can't remember the brand but said they are on auction site. I looked and found them. It also looks like rim experts.com may have them. I would suggest that you find the right socket so you don't mess up you rims .

I just googled "spline driven lug nuts" and found alot of generic lisings.. Ebay and others. looks like there are listing for "7 Spline Lug Nut Key's" (if i counted your splines correctly), that might get you started in the right direction. these ones on ebay look close to yours.. dont know if that helps any..

There are sockets sets made specifically to remove lugs with lost keys. Any good shop should have a set. If you ask the tire and service shops in your area someone will get the wheel off for you so you can fix it and get driving again.

Any good tire shop should have the correct sockets available. Just tell the how many splines. I have 6 spline on my Yukon, got mine from the local shop. Think I paid about $12 for a socket.

These are 7 spline lugs, never counted them but I was trying 6 spline keys. I will see if I can find a 7 spline key. I'll also try calling a couple more shops, I've gotten mixed results.

Here is a second follow up question: The tire I have on this wheel is an Eagle F1 Supercar EMT. Can these tires be repaired? I have a minor hole in the tread portion of the tire.
