Stock unit is unfortunately a 1.5 DIN so there's really no way around having to cut and move something.

I'm in the data gathering process of doing this myself. That's a nice looking unit. Are you going to hook up a backup cam to it?

You can send your bezel to Double d mods and have them modify it for about 200 dollars. you can get mounting instructions from dennis. you will need a GM relay box, Dennis sells them. the head unit itself has to have a camera plug in in order to run a rear camera through the head unit...
I have the Kenwood 690 HD unit with rear camera. Dennis modified my Bezel.

I agree. Double D Mods is great to work with. Dennis modified my bezel and sold me the gear DDX419 for $499.

when I added this head unit and speakers it was like getting a new car. with all the features in the head unit, Pandora, HD radio, built in hands free phone with audible hands free text messages and email alerts. Sirius radio, a mini sd card slot, Garmin navigation and turn by turn audible directions with alternate routes. It also gave the interior a much more modern look with the double din display.

$499 included the Kenwood DDX-419 headunit, ROEM-VET1 adapter harness and modification to my bezel and all of the technical support I needed.

I wasn't too tough at all. There are a few details that you need to be aware of pertaining to the removal of the OEM HU bracket and fitment adjustment of your HVAC unit.
I did it on a Saturday and when I ran into a snag with the wiring, I emailed Dennis thinking I would hear back on Monday and much to my surprise he called me on my cell while he was eating breakfast and walked me through it.
Great guy and great vendor.
