got my new 97 up to 105 today, got there very quick, and was pleased how stable it felt. much better than my old 94 firebird formula or 70 olds 442, but not as stable as my 88 mercedes 560 sl.

Sounds like you need some suspension work.. New shocks and alignment. Mines rock solid as 150.

What suspension do you have?????? My guess is base

Invest in some C6 ZO6 shocks, C6 Z51 sways with metal end links and some C5 ZO6 or Z51 springs. You will tell a very different tale.

You will think you have a new car!

These cars actually run better at 100 plus than 70-80.

Don't ask how I know and I will not tell!

Hot damn, interstate entrance ramp is clear of traffic!

I am usually over 120mph by the time I hit the brakes at the drag strip and the car feels perfectly solid the entire time.

I have also heard, from good authority, that a '99 M6 with stock F45 suspension is rock solid at 140+ on North bound I-29 just South of Sioux Falls, SD. However, so I've heard, the scenery is exceptionally blurry and the 2 lane opening going through the overpass looks damn small!

Regards,

Gunny John

PS. OP, when ya wanna meet for coffee?

This is true. Especially in the turns at Talladega.

I live across the street from a small airport (private planes) and they advertise flying lessons and rides so one day I stopped in to see how much and got to talking to the guy about my car which was sitting outside. I jokingly asked him if I could see what my car would do down the runway and he started laughing and much to my suprise he told me to come back at a certain time when no planes were scheduled to take off and he would let me go down and back
I had it right at 142 and backed off very cool and very smooth I offered to let him ride with me but he declined.
