Default LS1 Revamp - Coming Soon

I am looking for insight, possibly a few suggestions.

Here's what I have now:
2001 C5, AT, 3.15 gear, Corsa exhaust, stock TC, rebuilt tranny (a little stronger than stock), and Speed Engineering (speedengineeringanddyno.com) owner Jeff Nance to install the mods and dyno tune.
Right now, it is showing 308hp/322ft-lbs torque peaks.

What I have already have waiting:
Yella Terra roller rockers
American Racing Headers + Crosspipe (no cats)
Heads (I requested LS6 heads, he couldn't get any from his vendors so we went the next step up. I'm not sure exactly what size he ordered, though)

What I'm still needing to order:
Camshaft + kit
Halltech Intake

Now as for gains, I'm not sure what we can achieve out of the above set up, I'm crossing my fingers for 400rwhp.

I do plan on one day installing a supercharger, so we don't plan on a camshaft with a huge lift duration (in fact I really don't need one, I just want to have that power boost before I actually get to the supercharger ). We haven't ordered the camshaft though because I don't know if I want a higher stall TC, which obviously plays a factor in what cam to get. I want this car to have the power when I ask for it and be able to hook well, but still drive smooth when I'm not at WOT so I've been reluctant to say yes to a new TC. Any insight to this would be appreciated.

There are many things to consider here when doing your build as I just got "done" with mine. These are my opinions/pointers for what they are worth:

#1: Compression ratio is one place to make power. Generally you go for high compression when NA and for forced induction you lower your compression. So I fully understand you wanting to boost it down the road (I wanted the same) - but you can't really optimize for both at the same time. I decided to go for a middle of the road compression ratio (little higher than stock) but I could add a little boost if I wanted to. But most probably I will change my pistons before I get my turbos - otherwise the boost will kinda be wasted.
#2: Camshaft - As above Cam is where a LOT of your power comes from. You will have issues finding one that will be great for both applications. I do know in the Mustang world a lot of people put supercharger cams in their NA cars with good power gains - so this might be an option. Make sure to match your valve springs to your cam.
#3: You will most definitely need a Torque Converter to match your Cam. I have a 3000 stall in mine and it is not bad as a daily driver.
#4: Lots of power is also in the heads. If you have the resources get a nice set of CNC ported and polished heads and you wont regret it.

With my CNC heads, decent lift short duration cam, 1.72 rocker arms and misc other parts I managed 466hp (at flywheel) at the dyno with no final tune - very general tune. I have a lifter that came apart so not sure what I'll actually get. But hey, 466 with a valve not opening completely and only a base tune is not bad. And it seems along the lines of the setup your going for.

FYI: There will be roughly a 18% loss HP in an automatic corvette from flywheel to rear wheels.

Keep us updated on your build!

Much appreciated, I will update this thread as things progress. We're still waiting on heads (along with all the necessary supporting parts including bolts, springs, etc) that we ordered a while back ago and the other parts we still have to work out details of what we want.

I've already got everything paid for (save the a supercharger and a new TC which I have lately been leaning towards), it's just a matter of picking and choosing the parts that work best together which is what Jeff is great at. I had initially told him I didn't want a new TC, but if I can be convinced that something like a 2400 stall TC won't ruin a comfortable ride then I'll probably go with one.

***FYI: Notice I corrected rwhp to - at flywheel. Did not mean to say rwhp.

If you dont match your stall to your cam you will regret it... Your car will always try to lurch forward with each cam of the engine while you're stopped.

About all the 3000 stall converter did to my daily drive, is the car doesn't really start moving until roughly 1500 RPM. Which is fine, but takes a minute to adjust to.

I had a feeling about that, lol. I think the set up will be very similar to yours, I do have the headers going in as well though so I think 400rwhp is possible.

Edit: as well as a final tune with a very experienced tuner.
