HELP!! Added a Powerduct, got codes and check engine light!
Put in a powerduct for huge performance gains  and then got the following codes:
10 PCM P0112H, P0113H C, P1111H C, P1112H
In addition, my check engine light came on! AHHHHHHH!
Further research on the codes yielded this
P0112H Intake Air temperature (IAT) Sensor Circuit Low Voltage-B
History code not current
P0113H C Intake Air temperature (IAT) Sensor Circuit High Voltage-B
History code AND CURRENT
P1111H C Intake Air temperature (IAT) Sensor Circuit Intermittent High Voltage-C
History code AND CURRENT
P1112H Intake Air temperature (IAT) Sensor Circuit Intermittent Low Voltage-C
History code not current
Is it likely that if I damaged that damn little IAT when I put it in the powerduct, that would be what is causing my "Check Engine" light to come on. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Chris

Sorry for the problems...
It's hard to damage the IAT sensor but the fragile wiring and connectors for the sensor are easily damaged. I have done both and had the same codes. I replaced the wiring for the sensor both times to fix it...GM makes a replacement harness for just the IAT.
You might have broken one of the wires. Check out the connector and wiring.

Thanks guys! i went and bought a sensor from my dealer tonight, but did not get the harness. D'OH! I will check my wiring first thing in the morning.
Thanks for the tip!
best,
Chris

I'm curious to see how this works out, since I have been seeing the IAT codes 0113 HC and 1111 HC myself. I went by my dealer today & spoke with the Corvette Technician and he told me that the actual sensor doesn't go bad very often.
Re: HELP!! Added a Powerduct, got codes and check engine light! ('99Hardtop)
Here is the update and it is not good news. I replaced the IAT and had the same codes pop up. I also undid all the electrical tape around the harness to check and see if I could find any visible damage. Nope. So, as I type this I am on hold with my parts department trying to get a new wiring harness and will see if that works. Does anyone know where this wiring harness ends up at? :mad Damn, just told that parts is closed today after being on hold for 5 minutes! Guess this will have to wait until Monday,
Re: HELP!! Added a Powerduct, got codes and check engine light! ('99Hardtop)
Update with more bad news! It appears I also have the following code:
99-HVAC
B0361 Left actuator Feedback short to GND H C
History code and CURRENT.
Well, now I am totally flummoxed as to what to do. I wonder if the two are somehow related? '99Hardtop are you seeing the same code?
Re: HELP!! Added a Powerduct, got codes and check engine light! (CCONKLIN1)
Damn...this is getting out of hand...I haven't ever run into these new codes. Hopefully C5-Tech will see this...
Hopefully the IAT wire harness replacement and a PCM reset will fix everything. It's really easy to complete the harness install...just cut the old wires as far back as possible and splice it in there so you'll be using as much new wire as you can. Mine is spliced in right in front of the throttle body.
Re: HELP!! Added a Powerduct, got codes and check engine light! ('99Hardtop)
AGGGHHHHHH! Installed new IAT and tightened up the connector and cleared the PCM codes. Engine light off.....but not for long. Took a test drive to Target and on the way back (2 mile round trip) on popped the engine light and when I got home there were the two codes again when I looked in the DIC. And yes, I did disconnect the battery when I was installing my IAT and MAF.
This is starting to drive me buggy! I will be trying to get a new wiring harness on Monday, but mine looks pretty solid. I even tightened up the female connectors on the harness with a tiny tiny screwdriver to have it get a good grip.
Re: HELP!! Added a Powerduct, got codes and check engine light! (WHY2KRAG)
The new connector for the IAT should take care of the IAT codes for you. I literally just came in from replacing this on my car, had the infamous P1111 and P0113 codes. The new connector comes with a length of wire and some connectors. You simply cut the old connector off, trim the wires to length and connect the new one. I chose to solder the wires and seal with shrink tube rather than use the supplied crimp connectors. Whole job should take about 10 minutes. Evidently, the terminals inside the connector shell lose tension causing an open circuit.

Ditto on the last reply. This happened on my 99, and it was the wires going to the IAT. Simple to replace, took about 10 min. Mine hasnt had a problem since (except for the guardrail that jumped out in front of me :mad )
