OK normally I drive pretty sanely...tonight I tried to do a burnout both by stepping on it from a stop and then by trying to apply the brakes some while giving it gas...from a dead stop - no rubber, applying braking the engine would quickly bog down at about 1100 rpm....what gives???? Is this normal for a stock 2002 except for the Z06 cover and a K&N filter? If the car is throwing internal codes is there a way to get to them without anything special? Any ideas?
I tried it with the T/C both on and off...no difference
I also just looked at the codes, only IPC B0521H and SCM B2860H
from what I found one was a tack reporting problem and the other a telescoping wheel position sensor error.
OK correction......I just took it out again and made sure the T/C was off and the A/C was off....I can get it to brake loose using the brakes and it didn't bog down, but how high should I get the revs to get a good take off? From a dead stop without braking it won't brake loose for nothing, is this normal ?

With a 2.73 rearend, I think that's pretty normal. A4/2.73s are not noted for off the line grunt.
