When mine had the P1SC, I could change the belt without a lift. Seemed like for a while there, I got plenty of experience changing the belt. I had the old style bracket that had to come off.
My car has a Vortech A&A kit, and you wouldnt have to put it on a lift, but you would have to remove the head unit and bracket to install a new belt.
The easiest way I have found to do it so far is to put the belt on the head unit and bracket through the idlers, then set the head unit and bracket in the car and get the belt close, then slide it over the alternator pulley and tension it. The hardest part is getting the belt threaded through around the crank pulley, I used a friend to do it for me from the driver side while I dropped the head unit and bracket in on the passenger side. .
To make your life easier, take out the alternator bolts but dont remove the alternator. Push the alternator into the bracket as far as it will go. This lets you slide the belt easily over the alternator pulley but it wont pop off once its in place. Then put the bolts back in that hold the alternator.
