Default Bad 2nd gear synchro

Hey I'm just looking for some feedback on a move to get my transmission repaired on my 99' coupe. Currently I grind all day when shifting into 2nd gear, I occasionally can slip it in without grind at around 2500 RPM or if I let the clutch halfway out and let it 'click' in.

My plan for the car is to evantually have a 383 stroker built and maybe in the distant future install a procharger. SO... is it worth pulling the transmission and rebuilding with OEM components or just upgrade to an RPM level IV transmission or should I consider a ZO6 transmission?

Just looking for some feedback I'm new to the Corvette (use to be a Mustang guy).

If you are going to be putting a 383 in and either drag racing, autocrossing or HPDE/RR then rebuild the trans or buy the RPM trans. You will need hardened parts to handle the excess power. With the procharger and drag racing you will definitely need the hardened parts. The problem with rebuilding the trans locally is finding someone who really knows what to put in it to last. If you do not have very good recommendations for a local re-builder then definitely go with RPM.
