Default thinking about upgrades

I have an 03 vert. and am toying with the idea of going with a turbo setup (SRT) or a supercharger or just staying stock. I am not a racer but love the rush of gradually adding throttle in each gear and feeling the G's. Stock is good but starting to feel the need for more Gs. Maybe a phase I am going through but would like some opinions on preference. I think the less evasive the better as far as modifications. Just starting to look into this and always have enjoyed vette owners ideas or opinions on this great forum. Thank you ahead of time for any response.

I've been thinking about a supercharger. Folks on here say it doesn't affect daily drivability too much.

SC is the way to go for affordable/reliable power.. and can be removed and put back to stock fairly easy and get a great bit of your $$ back when you sell the kit.. SC kits are available from may vendors and newer ones are self contained lube so you dont need to plum oil feed/return.

Turbo kits are more complex to install BUT will give you a different power and are capable of higher power levels.. but is not for the average Joe..

You could allways do a Cam, Heads and headers... Pros and cons to each setup.

Hell ya, go big or go home. Get a forced induction set up and a good set of tires and you'll have a beast.

I went the route of heads and cam, tons of intake, exhaust, ignition upgrades, gears, converter, etc. etc. etc. to have a rough, rattling, uncomfortable car, crappy on fuel economy, that sees less power than a supercharger on a otherwise stock car.

Thats not to say its not a good setup now. But the forced induction would have been the best way to go IMO.

I suppose the manufacturers of SC's are A dime a dozen but anyone know from experience a certain make that stands out from the rest?

Check out East Coast Supercharging. They're a vendor here and I've heard only good things about them.

thanks for all the input. I was also wondering if the stock clutch can handle a supercharger or does it need upgrading also. Not a racer nor do I abuse this car in anyway but want to know if changing Hp is going to be worth the G thrill. I have never turned the tires on this gem either.

If you don't beat on it profusely, a stock clutch might last a year or two.
