Got a LS1 from C5 - what gearbox?
Hello all,
I bought a LS1 engine from a well modified supercharged Corvette C5 that was sadly crashed bad...
I want to use the engine for a swap in a Nissan S13 maybe, but as the C5 has the transaxle I can't use the gearbox.
The engine came with a very solid aftermarket flywheel & clutch that I wish to keep.
So could you advise me what manual gearbox will fit to the engine and clutch? Will any Tremec T56 fit?

98-02 LS1 Powerd F body (Camaro Z28, Trans Am)
That will bolt up the bell housing to the block.. not sure if you will be able to reuse the clutch/flywheel with the FBody trans. Being LS i would think there would be a way to make it work.. might need to mix/match parts like Clutch Master/slave cyls and what not.
