Default C5 Exhaust

Hi, I'm new to the site and to the vette world in general. Just bought an 01 coupe and am wanting to do something to open up the exhaust. I'm kind of between the Borla Stinger or the B&B Bullets, but was wondering what the sound/performance would be with these compared to just going to my local exhaust shop and cutting off the mufflers and just running straights from the cats back? Any info on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Straight pipes would be too loud and raspy for my taste... I've heard both the bullets and stingers and I prefer the tone of the borla stingers, however both sound great. I'm pretty sure there is little to no difference in hp gains between the too.

I could not be happier with my Borla stingers. When I was installing my stingers, I started the car after I removed the stock mufflers and did not like the way it sounded. I get many compliments on the way me car sounds.

I have the B&B's on for over seven years. I have been very happy with them. Sounds great on open throttle, but when cruising you can still hear the radio.

I love my Borla Stingers, sounds like a hot rod ought to sound. They do have some drone, if I want to have a detailed conversation I drive my Lexus. Only kidding, I do have wireless Bluetooth and I talk on the phone all the time while I'm driving and everybody says they can hear just fine. Here's a clip.
