Codes, issues and the ignition switch
First off, thank you to the members of this forum, especially lucky131969 and Bill Curlee. I thought I'd document my experience as it might help someone.
2001 had intermittent ABS and Traction Control dash lights, coupled with non-functioning air conditioner when those dash lights were illuminated. Lights on radio console not illuminated during ABS and TC fault. Codes: P1571, P1689, 28 TCS No Comm, 99 HVAC No Comm. No power to ABS Fuse 5 (under hood fuse panel) when ABS and TC dash lights illuminated. Fuse is good.
In addition, 10-PCM P0135 H C, P0141 H C, P0155 H C, P0161 H C; four heated oxygen sensor performance codes. There was no power to OXY SEN Fuse 15 (under hood fuse panel) with the ignition switch on or off. Fuse is good.
Thanks to the folks on this forum, immediately directed attention to the ignition switch. Found one bad contact. Problems solved. Thank you.
