Default Mystery problem need help!!!

So on my 97 c5 automatic I can start car and drive somewhere fine but sometimes when I come out and start again It will fire up and immediately stall then when you go to start it again it starts like its flooded but will start!
That's one part of the problem now 3 separate times if I'm turning right and some what aggressive on the throttle the car backfires loudly and shuts off then I start it right up and drive off
Also on a side note my fuel gauge most of the time reads goin up as in I'm gaining gas not wasting then you shut car and turn back on it shows true level this is driving me nuts I checked codes and I had a PCM p1154 h c
And a PCM p1571 h and ipc b0521 h
I've had guys tell me to clean throttle body and mass air I did lots of black soot in there
Also have black soot on exhaust tips usually
I've been told ignition is no good possibly ,crank sensor, o2 sensor idk any help any ideas would be appreciated maybe bill curlee to the rescue lol

You have a 16 year old C5. If it were me, i would inspect every inch of the PCV lines and all the other vacuum lines for damage / deteriorated / leaking vacuum lines.

Next: Inspect the intake ducting between the MAF and the TB.

Remove the air-bridge and clean the MAF and Throttle blade. Reassemble and make sure its an air tight reassembly.

IF,,, all that checks out OK,, I would look towards the O2 sensors. If they are the original ones,, they probably need replacement.
