Default HP Tuners & Texas Speed headers

I'm about to pull the trigger on HP Tuners Pro and a set of TSP headers. I'm going catless so along with the tuning I'm going to be turning off my rear O2.

My question is with removing the AIR system. I know it will throw a CEL. Is there a way to make it not throw a code and have the sensor set to ready? In PA I can have one sensor not ready which will be my rear O2s and no CEL to pass emissions.

You can turn off those codes and the readiness tests will come ready. I have had my rear O2s turned off for a long time and all of the readiness tests do their thing perfectly.

Sweet. I wasn't sure if it just turned off the code or actually disabled the sensor. Thanks!

Can anyone else confirm this before I buy headers, HP tuners, and a WB?

are you buying HP Tuners just to turn off the codes or learning how to tune?

HP Tuners is very powerful and will do anything you're looking to do.

Yes you can turn off the codes and set your computer to pass/ready on the emissions stuff. They will always show ready even if you clear codes or disconnect the battery and hook it back up.

No cats, AIR, or rear O2's, and no check engine light for me

I want learn to tune but also wanted to make sure I got the right set of headers flew the job. My car is a DD and gets 20k miles a year. Didn't want to shell out $1300 for Kooks ignite didn't have to.

unless you plan to do lots more mods to your car you could save lots of time and money and get a good mail order tune for what you need. For software and wide band you are going to be pushing close to a grand and a mail order tune to do what you need is between $150-$250
