Hi Bill,
Yes I realised that after watching a couple of youtube vids about the ignition switch. I am going to take it apart and clean the contacts. My reasoning is that if I manipulate the key when it's fully inserted I can stop, start and alter the noise. This has led me to think that perhaps a little corrosion is causing electrical noise to be sent to the BCM. I will also check all of the earth connections following a guide I found on Google. I'll let you know how successful (or not) I've been.
Regards
John

Until I can pull the IP, hey, I'm willing to try anything
I tried to work the key in the ignition switch and sprayed some contact cleaner but unfortunately in my case, there was no change. I'm still buzzing
I replaced my entire dash pad so I finally got around to removing the IPC and doing this. No more door chimes but more importantly no more buzzing! No other discernible issues with removing the speaker as far as error codes or drive-ability.

I had this exact situation pop up out of nowhere a few days ago. I searched and found several old posts and photos, and along with a couple YouTube videos, I now have no more buzzing.
It was the first time I dismantled the dash and dug into it. I’m pretty sure I can do anything now ;-)
I am having the same door chime speaker issue. Still seems like there isn't a fix other than removing the speaker connection. Correct?
I haven't noticed any other mention of the issue on the forum, but I haven't been looking since I snipped the wire. Just have to remember to turn the lights off without the chime reminder now. Other than that, I've forgotten all about it.
