I have a popping noise in the rear when I go over uneven surfaces. I have C6Z06 sways, poly bushings and solid links.
Do I need some type of lubrication in the bushings, or is there something else that might be causing it?
I put solid end link son mine last year, and discovered the same noise shortly after, usually after entering my driveway which is slightly uneven. The end link bolts and nuts need to be torqued..Mine had worked loose and were sliding around in the bolt holes on the ends of my sway bars.
Another thing to check is that your axle shaft nuts are tight. I've heard of them working loose and causing the splined shaft end to bounce back and fourth inside the hub under differences of torque and rotation.
Be sure to check the axle bolts. Surprised me but had a similar problem on my girlfriends c6 and it was loose nuts,, checked mine on c5 z and those were loose also!
I purchased new axle nuts. Red Loctite and torqued to 140 ft lbs. TSB says 160 ft lbs. I have not had any poppping since from the rear axle since.
