Redline Fuel Injector Cleaner, Does It Work?
Treating my beater '88 Honda Prelude that I just bought with 98K miles and was wondering if it would make any difference or will I have to actually clean the injectors individually? I just poured a whole bottle in and filled the tank with premium unleaded. Thanks.

I use it. I believe BMW even recommends it.

That's good to know. Seems all these Amsoil distributors just can't stand by without sticking their nose in all of these Redline posts. I'm sure Amsoil is wonderful but those using Redline will swear by it also. I am a Redline user and I buy it online with no problems. The way Amsoil is being sold is like a solicitor and is very annoying!

Have been using it for years and it works. After you run that tank of gas through the injectors let me know how it runs. You will need to be a little aggressive a few time with the gas pedal. That seems to help in cleaning them.

P.S Hope you purchased the large concentrate bottle and not the small one. The small bottle is great for keeping them clean after using the concentrate.

Yes, definately. I have a 98 blazer as well as my corvette. Out in california, we add a lot of crap to the gas to help keep the air clean. These additives cause fuel injectors to get sticky and misfire on my blazer. Every 2 months, I will run a bottle of red line in the tank to clear out the fuel system or when an injector or two starts sticking. GM event sent out a letter recommending use of Red Line to help keep the fuel system clean. Either Red Line or Amsoil should do the trick.

Yup! Three ounces in each tankful and one bottle (15oz.) at oil change (9000 miles). Works for me! :)
