Oil leak

I just noticed a slight oil leak, a few drops, near oil filter on drivers side. I'm thinking one thing could be oil pressure sensor leaking down. It's still reading correct pressure, it hasn't spiked. Do these have a tendency to leak before they actually fail? I replaced it about 3 years ago after it was reading max pressure, but wasn't leaking.

Yes they can leak. Get an inspection mirror and a nice bright light and you can examine that area to look at the sensor.

Thanks, Bill. I looked, it does look a little damp there. I'll check it out better.

OK, this looks like the culprit, oil around the sensor and surrounding area. Is it recommended to put Teflon tape on the threads?
