My C5 has a Vararam. It was on the car when I bought it.
I'm wondering if at higher HP levels it be ones a restriction.
Anyone have experience with this?

I have a Vararam in both of my N/A cars, they are both low 10 sec 1/4 mile cars with pretty good HP that also double as my work and grocery getten vehicles. The bottleneck for me was the MAF. Have an LS2 TB, FAST 92, headers etc..
I was using a Vortex but was concerned that it would be restrictive after the intake / cam work. I ended up going with a C6 Z06 K&N bridge / filter and building my own cold airbox to go around it. Took some massaging to get the bridge to fit. Hard to imagine that would ever be restrictive!
My first post via iPhone didn't have my .sig, Can't add it on the mobile application.
My car runs low 11's as it sits.
What I should have asked is has anyone removed the VaraRam for something different and found an improvement in 1/4 mile times?
There are 2 reasons I'm asking:
First is the struggles we have had with the MAF cal in each of the gears. This is an A4 car.
1st gear is lean, 2nd gear a little lean and 3rd will match commanded.
The VaraRam is forcing air in at the higher speeds and I've wondered if that is causing our struggles with calibrating it. Just a thought.
Second, a friend saw a 10HP increase on the dyno when he switched to a different intake, I forget which one.
Ok, so how about the VaraRam Power Duct? Good or bad as far as air bridges go? I don't recall any A-B dyno results on these?
BTW....I have 85mm screened MAF, LS2 TB, ported FAST102.
I do not wish to remove the MAF and run SD.
