Default I have a weird or dumb question.

I have a 2001 coupe and as far as I know no motor upgrades have been done. I had a situation where it was throwing the po171 and 174 codes. Previous owner told me it was o2 sensors. I took it in to my trusted shop and they told me it was an intake gasket leak and a vacumn leak. Also was missing a bolt in the throttle body. I could hear the vacum leak but couldn't see where it was coming from so I knew they were truthful and saw the old gaskets after the repair.
I had ran the car for two days and it threw the po171 code again. So obviously I still have an issue. It goes back in Thursday for a wheel bearing so I will have them check it again as it has flashed that code twice now in the last week. Here's the dumb question, when i am driving arounf 40-60 and "get" on it usually it roars and rockets off fast throwing me back in the seat so to speak. But sometimes it just goes fast but doesn't rev up as high and sling shot me. Does this description make sense ?
It's like it's lacking power even though I reset the dic. Most of the time it is roaring and fast even when it had a check engine light on. But sometimes it's like it's already in the last gear?

I had this problem and I cleaned my MAF with MAF cleaner from the parts store. Also replaced the K&N filter my car came with for a regular paper one. I also had the power loss you describe. Hasn't reoccured.

Here is your PCV System. Give it a GOOD examination and make sure that none of the lines and or rubber fittings are deteriorated:

Make sure that the DUCTING between the MAf and the TB is air tight.
