Default Car don't start????

Turn ignition on and right away it goes into REP and the codes are P1120,P1220,P1514, P11516, P1571. The car cranks but won't start can this be a bad TAC module??? Looks like acid leaked on it. I'm in the process of taking out the TAC module how do i know it's bad is there a teat to preform to determine if it's bad???? These are the codes that keep coming back after resetting code.

If acid got on it then it might just be the connectors. Since acid is a good conductor a good cleaning may fix it if leakage did not get inside and/or a short did not affect the internals. I have read that the 1999-2004 TAC modules are the same and interchange but the 1997 and 1998 are different.

Thank you
I took fender off and checked and cleaned evrything no signs off wire danmage and the connections look like new. I open PCM and there is no signs of leak to the inside. So i guess i'll just order a TAC Module i don't know what esle it can be. Thanks again

I was not at home when I posted. Having now looked at the FSM, I think it is your Throttle Position Sensor. P1120,1220,1514, and 1516 lead me to believe that given I don't have your car in my garage. P1571 is for ASR and is unrelated to your problem in my opinion.

If it were me, without further diagnostics, I would check it's connector and replace it if needed.

It is simple to replace. One connector and 2 screws (18 inch pounds, or just use good judgement). Hope that does it if the connection is not good.

PS: We can work on P1571 after we get you running again. It is related to traction control but have not looked any further yet.

Not at home now but will look at the FSM when I do. So we are clear, please clarify "REP" and "TPS" so I am not assuming. Suggest you PM me with your phone number so we can discuss diagnostics better and clarify exactly what the TB does when you go to "Start". Also, what year is your car? I am using a 2001 FSM but I think this design is the same for all C5s. I can confirm with my dealer friend.

Here is the info on P1516 from the FSM. As we discussed I think this is at the root of your problem.
