Looking in the trunk of my C5 convertible I found a 10"x10"x1" electronic box on the left side compartment. Is this the Body Control Module? I understand the BCM controls everything except the engine. It looks like it would be easy to replace but I bet they sure are expensive.

Look at the list of RPO's that are installed on your car (sticker on the glove box door) and I suspect you will see F45 listed.
If so that is the computer/controller for the F45 suspension.
BCM is in the passenger footwell behind the toe kick. Large aluminum box to the left of the IP fuse box is the BCM.
