base the clutch off of how much torque you plan to make. the monster stage 1 can handle 450tq at the wheels and the stage 2 550. both are great quality and have been proven to take those levels of power without issue
An aluminum flywheel is a very poor choice for a street car. I took mine out after 2 months and reinstalled the stock flywheel. I hated it, surging/stalling/trans gear rattle when idling with the clutch engaged.
Thanks for the feedback Russ! Wasn't sure about the aluminum flywheel?? I have a steel one in with the centerforce clutch, Don't do much street driving ! Car will be trailer to the race track.
there is a happy medium flywheel. billet steel. you can get an 18lb steel flywheel that's 10lbs lighter than stock but heavier than aluminum and more rugged

My choice on best pedal feel and overall performance is hands down the Mantic 9000, billet flywheel, comes with hardware-slave cylinder-throw out bearing-pilot bearing-clutch bleeder kit-and shipping within the cont US for $1,595.
LS6 stock cast is 24lbs. I replaced it with a Centerforce clutch and Fidanza flywheel, then ironically a Spec Stage 2 no lie. The aluminum flywheel's 13lb weight wasn't an issue combined with the total weight of the clutch being 42lbs, but that the steel insert would warp with heat and cause disengagement issues as well as slippage from surfaces not being mated parallel which just compounded the issue. The clutch I then switched to is in my signature below and uses a Billet 18lb flywheel, let me know if you have any questions.
Wont be disappointed. I have a couple friends that beat on theirs all the time and never had issues with the Monster 3. Just make sure to measure the preload. I had to shim both of them.
