At highway speed (~50mph and up), I get a vibration in the back of the car that is very rhythmic, 1 - 1.5 seconds of vibration then 1 - 1.5 seconds of smooth riding, closer together at higher speeds... Happens whether or not the car is in gear.
Anyone else have this? Am I in for a big fix, or just a simple alignment..?
Only had the car about a month now, so I'm not sure what has been done to it... Good news is, it hasn't gotten worse since I've had it (about 1,500 miles later)...
you just described my problem to a t, I did notice if I pull hard right the sound goes away, if I go straight or pull left it stays, the faster I go the faster the rhythm gets. I did check for play in wheels and have none. I got underneath, couldn't see or feel anything loose or squeaky.
my tires are brand new Michelins, which I never heard that sound before the tires, maybe because they were so loud I couldn't hear it. I also replaced rims with gm polished and new rotors and brake pads all the same day.
No follow up guys?
What did you guys discover if anything? I am having the same vibration, but mine started when I lowered the car a 1 inch, which almost tells me it maybe a bad CV axle, but mine feels fine when I pulled them to inspect.
