Lifting Corvette ,, HELP????
I have a Rotary lift in my garage and had a C4 and always lifted it up where the 4 lifting points were on the sides, I always used 1 in felt on the lift points ,, not on the fiber part but on the frame,, never had a problem,, ther lift has 4 arms that i can put any where under car,,, i bought a C5 now ans in reading the manaul it shows that i should lift the rear on the cross member next wheels,,, the front is where it was on the C4 ,,, is it safe to lift it in front of rear wheel on that fiberglass area ,, i dont like ,that area,, any answers???? :confused:

Either lift on the center of the frt. & rear cross members (block of wood on floor jack) or on the sides ( 4 slots in frame where cutouts are on the rocker panels) using a jacking puck at the slots :cheers:

Use lifting pucks you either buy or make at the four points set into the rocker panels as illustrated below. Here are a couple of examples of puck sets from the mall:

Disregard the Rocker Rails I have - you can't use pucks with these but you can use the rails to jack. And, yes, I know it's dirty but this was after I got caught in my one and only rain storm many months ago getting my exhaust installed. It's been spotless ever since. :p:
