Shift Adj. Neutral lock pin is not there
This is all new to me but seems obvious I should get the pin and proceed.
Curious as to how much that is contributing to my problem which is generally 1st and reverse but shifter is real sloppy.
Take 4th to 5th for instance. Sometimes it's relatively normal while other times it's like 3" WAY over.
Sometimes it goes into 1st no problem but usually 3rd even though visually it looks like it's in 1st. Often when downshifting into second and coming to a stop I try to move it to 1st and it just hits a wall and isn't going to happen. Other times slides right in nicely
Reverse is fun, sometimes goes right in most times double clutch seems to help or roll forwards and repeat as necessary.
Any help/ opinions out there? Thanks!

The secret is, put the Trans in N and MOVE THE BOX so the pin drops into the hole.
That being said,, If you have a NON ZO6, your shifter is mounted with rubber bushings. If you can grab the shift Box Base and move it with your hands, the rubber bushings are SHOT!
Check with ZIP Productes and see if they have any metal or poly replacement bushings.
Here are the ZO6 bushings that are solid aluminum. Youre will have rubber isolators. If they are worn or soft, the shift box will MOVE when you try to shift.
Check to see if the FOUR screws that secure the shift stick to the shift box are tight.
