Modifications
Hi my name is eugene, i own a 2002 Ls1, and this is what i plan on doing.
changing my stock heads and intake with stock Z06 heads and intake.
i plan on buying a T-rex cam with these specs 242/248-.608/.612-110LSA from Thunder Racing.
New double valve springs rated at .630 lift, push rods and 1.7 rockers
Long tube header and exhausts.
computer tuned.
any suggestion on what else i can do or should not do will be greatly appreciated.
all these parts mentioned above are going into a freshly new engine...new main bearings, rod bearings, pistons rings, hardened push rod, lifters, high volume oil pump, and all new gaskets.
the zo6 heads are ported and polished.
*****note: this vette is not going to be street racing is just going to be for cruising.*********
Thank you.

2001-2004 are the same as ZO6!!Here are some more stuff that I find makes for a better build!
= ARP Head studs
= ARP Damper Bolt
= Powerbond Dampener
=New lifter buckets!!!!
= New rocker trunion stands
=New rocker Trunnions from COMP CAMS
= If you have the drilled holes in the block for a timing chain dampener, install one
= What TRANSMISSION do you have
= 178 thermostat
= New higher flow injectors. I went with 42lb/hr with a similar cam
Auto trans you will need a higher stall converter! Change the torque tube rubber isolators!!
Manual Trans,CHANGE THE CLUTCH! Get a remote bleeder, new pilot brg, new slave, new master cyl, and change the torque tube rubber isolators!!

I would NOT recommend that cam for what you want to do. That is an all out drag race cam. It is going to drive like crap unless you have the tune perfect.
Call a vendor and explain to then what you want to do. Let them custom spec or recommend you an off the shelf cam. It will be way better than the TRex. That is not the cam for you.
