I have a 2001 Z06 with long tube headers and a Halltech air intake. The car still has the stock cam. Thinking about a cam swap for a daily driver, may see the track once a year. I would like to see what other forum members are running and how they like it. I've been looking at cams in the mid 220's intake and low 230's exhaust.
I'm on the same route as u ...I have the same set up in mine 01 Z ...but I'm thinking 228r cam I researched for a while on this, everyone who has it they like it...for me I don't want to loose that low end torque , I want to have power through all power band...good luck hunting! !...theres a lot of info here about this on forum
I've been running a 224/232 610/610 114+1 for over a year now. Drives
like stock unless you push the go pedal down. This with an auto with
3:42 gears. No surging or idle problems like I had with my last cam.
Even with my new Bridgestone Potenza Re050a that are pretty sticky tires it still spins the tires for several seconds at 30mph. Couldn't be happier
and it's got all the power I want. I do have headers and trickflow 220
heads also.

228/232 113+3 Another very happy Spartan Performance customer here.
Ahh...Bill I was talking to Josh this morning about that cam and your car. He spoke highly of it. Sure would like to talk with you about how the cam works in your car. Thanks, Frank

Had a 233/239 113 until I had a lifter go. Infact my thead is on the 1 pg of C5 tech if you care to look at the carnage. Along with Boltons, that setup made 412/380. My new cam is a custom grind. 234/242 112+3 No numbers as of yet...
Thanks for all your reply's so far guys! Looking hard at 3 cams right now : Tick stage 1 223/226 600/600 111LSA +2
Brian Tooley stage 2 227/234 614/576 113+2
Spartin 228/232 113 LSA +2 After talking to bill, the spartin cam from Josh really sounds like what I'm looking for.
the tsp 228R is a pretty common cam. good street manners. I added that with headers, PRC heads and a the FAST 78 that came with the car and went from 330 rwhp to 450 rwhp
