So I had the famous fuel gauge issue, it used to point at the middle indicator while the tank was full. Used to ding empty while the tank was half full...
This thing solved it, and it seems to be a very reliable solution
It's a German made fuel additive injection cleaner called Wurth G3
I used it once with a full tank, poured it then filled the gas to full, less than an hour later the gauge indicator became accurate, and 3 months later the gauge is still accurate, however, as a preventative measure, i added another one
I hope this will help other fellows with the same gauge issue
Techron does not always work. I've used at least a half dozen bottles and my guage still sticks. I've dumped in a few bottles of Seafoam too.
That's why am posting this, i needed more than one Techron bottle to see some improvement, but this can solved the issue from the first try, and for 3 month it never came back, i just added another one as a preventative measure ...
I'd like to know this too. I'm at the point of having to pay a shop to drop my tank and replace my fuel pump/sending unit and I'd prefer not to spend the money if at all possible.

Ed, you have a 2000 correct? No need to drop your tank it's pretty easy to take the assembly out. You should be able to do it. I have some pics on how I did it and here is a how to...Also the sending unit new is about 80 shipped. Let me know if you have any questions

I wasn't aware the unit was accessible without dropping the tank, and I appreciate the info, but the gas tank is one thing I do not want to mess with. I'd rather someone who has worked on them before do it. With my luck this learning experience would be my last.
