Default Recently installed HID's = door problems

Ok, so I had NO problems with the doors opening and closing improperly when I had the original bulbs in my 2002 Z. In an attempt to increase the lighting out front, I installed a 5000K HID kit in there. Since the kit was put in, I'm not having the issues of the doors not closing but 1/2 the way. Or, if I manually close them when the car is off. When I fire the car back up, they will go into the full up position even if the light switch is in the off position??? Sometimes I can cycle the light switch on-off-on-off several times and they will eventually go all the way down. After the car was parked and had been put up for an hour or so, I heard a sound coming from the lamp motors....it almost sounded like they were trying to make a decision to either go up or down...but were actually doing nothing. I cycled the light switch just one more time and they dropped to the full closed position and were not making anymore odd noises. Another board member asked if I had installed the resistor that came with the kit. My response was: no I had not, the destructions did not tell me where that resistor needed to be soldered in to???? Can anyone help with the location of the resistor? I'm not sure what this resistor has to do with the doors acting a fool, but I guess anything is possible. Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated. At this point I'm avoiding driving at night so I don't have to jack with these damn lights acting up. I will say that the 5000K HID bulbs are 10xs brighter than the regular bulbs. Please help!

I just posted in your other thread, but try to install it between the factory harness and the hid ballast on the driver side and report back if that works

We have no idea what came with your "kit". You need to tell us or just talk to the people who sold you a kit with no instructions.

Did you mean install it in between the power wire from the factory harness, and the power wire going into the ballast?

If you don't have projectors you should not be running hid.

Total exaggeration. I've had HID low beams for 10 years, and they're nowhere near that unfocused.

Ever driven infront of one or had someone in on-coming traffic with them?

I find that VW Jettas are the worst for HID kit glare

I've never been flashed in my Corvette, but OTOH, lots of times in my old Acura, with factory HIDS.
