Default suspension

im looking to upgrade my suspension for street use, i want great performance
im thinking of geting the bilstein sports and hyperco leaf springs

vs

coilovers

opinions please and coilover brands and prices, its for street and changing the springs and shocks seems cheaper than getting coilovers, but with the coilovers i can adjust it easier

If you're thinking of lowering your car and/or tracking it at some point, then definitely go with coilovers. They will allow you to go as low as you want. However if you want to maintain stock height, then coilovers are probably not for you. Even at the highest setting, they will result in a lowered car. There is also an extensive setup and alignment process that needs to be completed after installation.

If you want to maintain stock height on a street driven car, then go with a good set of shocks and leafs. You cannot go wrong with Bilstein shocks. I think they are the best replacement shocks for the money.

Here's a good economical upgrade.

coilovers are expensive and im looking to greatly greatly improve my handling and lower it a tiny bit but keep the practicality for street use, but I want it as stiff as I can get it without coilovers

whats good set of leaf springs

The answer depends on what your car already has. Assuming that it is a coupe or vert with base (FE1) suspension, the first (and cheapest) step is Z51/ Z06 springs, bars, and shocks. I did that to my car (from F45 to Z51) for $600 +$50 for the PS cooler from sellers on ebay. It made quite a difference on the street, but isn't quite enough for hard track use IMO. If you want something firmer still you need to step up to T1 or coilovers. Either will set you back well over $1k, and are hard to find used.
