Default Lower ball joint?

Well,

We are in the process of a clutch replacement on my 2000 vert...which has 108,000 miles on the clock. Also fixing a leak between
the transmission halves. We got everything out and found a large globe
of grease sitting on the lower control arm near the lower ball joint...can't find any rips on the boot...how do I verify if the joint is gone or not...should I replace this just to be safe?

if there aren't any tears and there isnt any play in the joint, it is good to go. another thing you may want to check is that the shock isnt leaking since it mounts close to that area.

^^This.....I had a LR shock leaking down on my garage floor. Replaced with C6ZO6 rears.

This is def thick, goopy grease...thought it be from the axle boot...but that looks solid too.
