Hello I have a 1998 C5 convertible 80k miles on it
I have noticed the compressor doesn't come on when I hit the a/c button in the car. I tried to refill it with Freon and noticed a pinhole leak in it. So now I have a part (ACDelco 15-31139) I was thinking of buying. I was wondering does anyone know if I need O-rings for this job with this part? And what the O-ring part number(s) might be?
Looks like a straight forward job to me, replace the pipe and refill the system. any and all help will be welcome thanks in advance as always.

Yes you will need new O-rings to replace the line also dip them in clean refrigent oil prior to install.
Then purge and evacuate the system prior to recharging with the proper amount of Freon.
To do the job correctly, you need to change out the orifice restrict or tube, receiver/dryer canister, install the new O rings and add the correct amount of refrigerant oil for the parts that you are installing. (THE OIL IS IMPORTANT!) All systems need a small amount of oil when they are apart.
You need to evacuate (pull a near zero vacuum) the system to remove non condensables (AIR) and moisture. Moisture in the system can cause the aluminum to corrode and eat pin holes from the inside out.
installing the correct amount of R-134 is critical for the system to work properly..
