Hi im starting to notice that occasionally when I put my c5 z06 6 speed in reverse and go to back up it feels like the E brake is on and I have to give it a lot of gas to back up..I also hear the breaks squealing.
What u guys think could be the problem?is something wrong with the trans or rear end?
I would check the brakes on the rear wheels and see if they are the problem binding up. Find a lift and raise it to inspect it. If your trans or diff had a problem it wouldn't take very long to go bad and you'd know pretty quick if that was the trouble. Just get the brakes inspected.
Something wrong with your trans or rear wouldn't cause your brakes to squeal. Either the caliper is sticking or your parking brake shoes are staying on when the handle is released.
I think the parking brake is designed to self adjust when you apply the brake in reverse... could be that the automatic adjuster mechanism is stuck...You may need to pull the rear rotors and check the parking brake shoes.
There's no auto adjust mechanism in a C5 parking brake. You'll have to do it manually. It is possible that the cable is binding on something not releasing the shoes completely on one side or both. Or a shoe could have come loose and is binding as you back up.
You'll have to pull the wheels and look at the brakes. If you don't find something funny with the calipers or pads then you'll have to pull the rotors and look at the parking brake.

At one time, it was generally thought that backing up and applying parking brake would either take slack out of the cable and/or ratchet the adjusting star.
Pumping the brake handle will take some slack out of the cable, but will not adjust the parking brake shoes.
How about it moe24, did you find out why your brakes are squealing in reverse?
