Sun Visor Removal, what am I doing wrong?

Cover plates???
I had a Miata and they sold blank plates to cover the arear where the visors were removed. Anyone make covers for Vettes? I too would like the extra visibility. I don't like the visors in the way with the top off, and if you fold them over, you lose two inches of visibility.
