Default Catch can install question

Where does the line go that is connected to the back port of the valve cover on the passengers side? (Blocked off in attached image). Secondly, why was this port blocked off in this install? There wasn't a description as to why this was done on the forum it was posted on.

Thanks, looks like it y's off behind the manifold and one split connects to the valve cover on the passengers side and the other leads to the pcv valve/intake manifold. I just don't see why the valve cover port was blocked off and that part of the "y" removed

I'm not sure either. Mine is not with an Elite Engineering catch can. Here's an installation guide I found on here.
