It's a monster. On the rare occasions I can find an abandoned road, I love the run from 80-160. I don't time it, but the acceleration never slacks. Feels like warp factor 5.
Wow, my email hasn't been notifying me that people are actually responding to this thread . Somebody convinced me to go the blower route and put a small cam in it So thanks for the help! I am going to get my A&A kit installed in 2 weeks hopefully (Fingers crossed)!

Let me know if you need the kit or installation. Ill beat anyones price you found
Yes, I know that there are plenty of threads on heads / cam. But I am starting me own . So I am currently in the market for heads and cam. I emailed ECS, WCC, and Texas Speed. But which is the best? From looking around I've seen nothing but bad reviews about WCC, their package seems pretty cheap. I am looking for roughly 450whp. I have a 99' FRC with LT headers and Borla exhaust, black wing intake, and a stage 2 monster clutch getting installed this week . So can anybody give some feedback on what would be a good place to purchase from? NO I DON'T WANT A BLOWER, I have my brothers car for that . Any feedback will be great! Thanks
- Anthony
Just out of curiosity what have you heard about West Coast Cylinder Heads? I have heard nothing but PHENOMENAL things about them and have personally talked to Richard @WCCH on the phone several times and you couldn't ask for more dedicated customer service. I have been a member on LS1 Tech and Performance Trucks forums for about 6 years and between those two and this forum, and talking to many guys in person i haven't heard anything bad about WCCH. Car craft magazine is a reputable magazine and they have worked with him on many builds and comparison tests.. Richard has been in the game a long time and knows his stuff. i wouldn't count him out in fact i would call him and find out for yourself before i would take someone else's word.

From what I've heard and read, his product is cheap. I'll look for the thread but I did a lot of research. Some people said that their car repeatedly was breaking down after the installation and it ended up being the product.

Post a link... I can say i've never seen or heard any of that, ever, about WCCH's work.
Already dropped off the down payment yesterday..! 6000$ for the kit, installation, and dyno tune
That's a great price for the complete installation. If I were not so isolated from these great shops, I wouldn't have done it in my garage. The results will amaze you.
I think you will be very happy with the blower route. My friend has a 2000 Convt Vette, stock motor (valve covers have never been off the car) he put an A&A kit on a few years back w/ Vortec V3si kit, 3.73, stock headers, catback kit, auto w/2600 stall.. The car is VERY tame sounding (stock cam) and drives like a dream, UNTIL you mash the throttle!! I think it put down somewhere near 475 rwhp if I'm not mistaken, and runs a 11.3 in the 1/4 mile.....

I am going to put a small blower cam (Maybe meth?) in ASAP. Running stock motor also, I will post videos after i get it installed. Then I should be perfect with HP. Then as soon as things start breaking I will be right back on the forum
So I'm kind of in a pickle now, the stage 2 level clutch is rated for 550hp. Now with the A&A kit baselined how much hp should I be at? I'm worried I just spent 1200$ and I am going to need to get rid of this clutch and get a new one. Should I be okay?
I think you'll be fine with most stg. 2 clutches. The stock clutch could hold a lot more than stock if it were re-designed. You should have new updated GM hydraulics, etc. when you do the clutch. I used a Centerforce TO bearing on a stock slave, and a Tick MC. I have a tendency to overdo things.

Yeah I have all the upgraded stuff in there. So hopefully I'll be good

Same here Ive known Richard and Dave since the 90s they run a real solid clean shop. Nothing hokey will ever leave it.
Rich knows his stuff and is honest as the day is long.
