Another P1514 question.
My question here is: Has anyone ever heard of low air temp causing this? The reason I ask, is that as I said, this has never happened before and I haven't made any changes to the car. Today is the first time I have ever driven it when air temps were down in the 20's.
One of my 1st was the p1514
That turned out to be wires on throttle position sensor plug that somehow were broken inside the insulation.
looking at them you would never know there was a problem.
I took alot of stuff off and checked and caused more problems\A menber here suggested I take the plug and hold it firmly and pull each wire with a bit of force, not enough to break wires but enough to strech insulation.
Sure enough when I did it 2 wires came apart, the insulation the only thing holding them together.
The only thing I can think of why would be slight movement over years flexing the copper inside till it finally broke,
Before you do much really give the plug and wires a good visual and ohysical inspection.
I wish I had, it would have saved me lots of problems.
