If you are trying to see if a BCM is programed a certain way I would think you would need to use Tech II. While basic EU programming is different from US the BCM is also programmed for car options like Memory and Twilight Sentinel. I would not think the actual BCM internals are different and everything inside is closely guarded by AC Delco. If what I believe is true, then a BCM can be reprogrammed to whatever and the serial number is not relevant. Someone please correct any errors I may have stated.

Hi Dadaroo,
A tech II with the Corvette PCMCIA card is very hard to find in France.
Concerning the SN I agree with you it's exactly what I'm thinking too but the question deserves to be asked.
Actually I'm interested by the rear fog light electrical line. I'd like to know with which component the fog relay is grounded (micro relay, transistor, logical bloc, other ....)
Thnaks
You can purchase a 3 day subscription on this web site for the service manual for $20.
I have found it pretty helpful in the past. It is the same data base the GM dealers use.
You have to register first with a user name and password. Once registered select the the option on the right "Service and Programming Information". Then select "subscribe now" and choose your option.

The FSM only says the BCM grounds the fog light relay. Of course you could route a wire from the relay thru a switch to ground it (around the BCM) to operate the lights manually. You have a better chances of being hit by an asteroid than getting the internal schematics of the BCM.
Let me know if you need anything else like the EU wiring schematics.
The BCM wiring diagrams have a relay symbol inside which activates the external relay coil. It shows a relay contact for all the outputs related to the front and rear fog lights.

Hi Lionel,
This is why I'd like to know if it's a "real" relay or an electronic component

Thanks for you offer but I have all the diagrams included in the SI Tech software

Not at home now but did I overlook the BCM internal diagram in the FSM? I don't mind looking stupid, I just try to minimize the amount as best I can.
